May 2010 Updates
Many of us moored outside and enjoyed the shows at the Grand Canal Theatre during our stay in Dublin see Grand Canal Theatre Dublin.

Barge pictures, some you may not have seen before: Lagan Canal Barge, Antrim coal barge, Lough Neagh coal barge, barge at Newry, Ruston Bucyrus, Libertas on Lough Neagh, Norman on Lough Neagh, Seagull at New Ross.
This month HBA members are on Lough Derg, in Dublin, heading north of Lough Ree and heading south on the Barrow. Read about DB Hawthorn’s adventures on the Barrow Line and Barrow River.
Over the first couple of weekends in Dublin we travelled up the Liffey and out to the estuary, entertained friends and family on board, and travelled by boat to the various eateries around the basin. Some of the boats moored out on the Liffey to the port side of the Cill Airne and enjoyed dining aboard the ship. See Photo Galleries and Cill Airne History

On another weekend as well as making the trip to Spencer Dock, we meandered on the Liffey, cruised to Islandbridge, had a superb BBQ using the great front deck on The Rambler, entertained guests and wandered in and around GCD on various types of craft. 51M will arrive at Robertstown, County Kildare on Saturday May 29th at 5:30pm, escorted by the Heritage Boat fleet.
