Easter in Eden Festival – Apr 2010

March 30th:

Some of the heritage boats have started their journey to Edenderry for the ‘Easter in Eden Festival’ next weekend. They will approach the town via the Edenderry Branch and moor in the Harbour, completed in 1802.

There is currently an exhibition on the Grand Canal in Edenderry Library, which is attracting great interest. It incorporates material from Offaly Libraries, the Heritage Boat Association, the Kildare Branch of the IWAI, Waterways Ireland and Edenderry Historical Society. The exhibition has been running from March 20th and will continue until April 1st.

The Edenderry Historical Society will host a walk starting at 11:00 am on Sunday morning starting at the harbour.
