You are invited to the Launch of the

Ballycommon Canal Renewal Group

Saturday 28 th August

 

Events (at Campbells Bridge, 250m from Ballycommon House, towards Tullamore) will include:

2.30p.m. onwards – Canal Boat 107B will be open for general viewing including displays of material including historical artefacts pertaining to The Grand Canal, in particular the Ballycommon / Kilbeggan branch.

6.30p.m. onwards – the multimedia displays will commence including

the premier of a short film showing the raising of the barge 45M from Lough Derg.(This was the boat used by Dick Warner during the filming of his series ‘Waterways’) and various items of old film footage and artefacts.

All other boats welcome & easy access by road .

These exhibitions are free of charge.
